OK guys, I was over @snowtank new house Sunday and saw that he had C Pillar decals for the trails he had completed in Moab, UT. I just loved this concept and thought what is we did some for the AZTW crew? I saw some local Jeep clubs have them, but most of us aren't Jeepers.

If you guys are down lets brainstorm some ideas like.

What trails are worthy of decals?
    What color scheme?
Do we want to consider trail rating in that scheme?

Please chime in and tag more people :)

    Thanks!

Trails possibilities: (Im including ones that are doable in a Tacoma)

A lot of us have done these:

    TRAIL: Rating:
    Rug Road
    Broken Arrow
    Turkey Creek
    Sycamore Loop
    Butcher Jones
    Elvis
    Crown King

More difficult but Tacoma Do-able (rated extreme in a lot of books)

    TRAIL: Rating:
    Raw Deal
    Smasher Canyon
    Log Corral

1 option for color is Blue, Red, Black based on level.

Black being the hardest? Do we base this off the newer trail guides book or more of what you've created in your AZ Trails thread?
Rig and driver mod play a big part in that and is subject to personal opinion.
IE: Broken Arrow may be difficult for a new person behind the wheel but not someone seasoned

    Probably a combo.

Sure, it's tough for a newbie. But they should be aware that others are more difficult.

Blacks would be Table Mesa, Elvis, Rug Road and similar (hard reds in the trail books)

Red would be most of what the book shows as red/difficult. (Lift/Sliders/Experience Needed)

Blue/Green could be anything stockish capable and iconic/well known and worthy of collection.

Metrocenter should be rated black for the dangers of getting robbed

Table Mesa is too broad, or even calling them the Bradshaw trails. They need to be narrowed down to

    All Black:

    Terminator (upper & lower)
    Raw Deal
    Collateral Damage

    Red:
    Turkey Creek

Now obviously some of those black ones wont be touched by anything but crawlers.

eh, this is more of a moab thing. not a terrible idea but there are just too many unmarked or unnamed trails in AZ to do it without littering your entire truck in stickers. My $0.02

what about using AZ colors for ratings?

    Red, Yellow/Gold, Blue

I see your point @tubbsisland, at this point its a feeler to gauge interest. I know there are a lot of people that wont want decals and some that will.

I'm probably in the no-sticker camp since I'm keeping everything pretty clean/low key. And Moab/Ouray/etc are destinations versus our local world-class trails.

The AZ colors is interesting, but less universally understood. And color scale might be less used versus the choice of body color/accent to keep a certain look. Each have pros/cons.

Yea, I'm not going to be cluttering my cab with a stack of stickers. Event stickers like the old AZRocks stickers and RT or Summit are cool, individual trails are pointless unless its a place like Moab with highly recognized and clearly marked trails.
