Doubt it. How much would that cost toyota and think about all the other shit they have to recalibrate too. No way that happens by my guesstimate. Wayyy too much money

Agreed, but in the mean time Toyota is screwing their "loyal" customers.

Not necessarily if they could have adjusted to keep miles per gallon the same using software

So does this mean that the Manual Trans will get the higher gearing that the 2016 autos had? If so why on earth would they do such a thing? I have a MT on order and now I'm wondering if I should change over to an AT?

We won't know until someone finds a MT 2017 and they post the door sticker.. My guess is it will have 4.3 gears still but I could be wrong.

I'm lost in this thread. Don't see how anyone's getting screwed. I think there's just a typo in the source book. Can someone point to a confirmation of anything else?

I find this hard to believe that they would flip-flop the final drives, I could see everything going to the 4.3 but a manual getting switched to the 3.9? If this is true someone can have my M/T Pro because I no longer want it.

We already confirmed the sourcebook is correct on the auto trans why would it be wrong on the manual trans? I think that's highly unlikely

This is so moronic. Could anyone think of a reason as to why they would make the MT geared higher?

Read the thread, it seems to have been confirmed due to a 2017 manu sticker decipher.

The sticker posted on the first page of the 2017vs2016 sticker someone put below it shows the dif code changed.. Means it's definitely not the same. It would be really bad for toyota to make this many typos.

Agreed, I'm betting from a manufacturing standpoint and what was discussed with torque/mpg/etc. that they will all have the 4.3

When I talked to a internet sales mgr he pulled up the specs and said the MT still showed 4.3, but he was confused why the auto was switched to 4.3 with no EPA adjustments..

Why then does the pamphlet show 3.9 for the manual? This is why we are pissed, poor communication or more mistakes.
