Don't they make something that looks amazingly like that called a Suburban?

God, that looks like some serious afterthought engineering.

Over the line and sitting part way into the lane. Sat there long enough for me to get to my car, push basket back to store and walk back out.

There was talk of rental trucks earlier... I get that, I've seen the asshattery. I've even had to drive one once or twice. No info, here's the keys, adios.

I thought that was bad until I encountered the volumes of rental RVs that are on the road here in Yosemite.
These people can't drive cars and now their in a rolling home. They have no concept of their vehicles width, so they just drive on down over the double yellow, wide left turns, can't seem to park off the roadway... Seems these RVs also inhibit sign reading ability. Stop, No Thru Traffic, No RVs, No Parking... What signs?

It's my daily struggle to be on the road with these folks... I hate them.

I used to live in Monterey. It was a daily struggle sharing the road with the throng of tourist staring out at the ocean while navigating the twisty road. The absolute worst though was driving down the coast (Big Sur) and encountering the RV rental asshats. Very little to no shoulder combined with curves, sharp elevation changes, sheer drop offs, bicyclists and awesome vistas made for a lot of folks not paying attention while driving a massive vehicle that they are not used to.

Fortunately it's almost summer and people are nearly finished vacationing!!! I live off of a stretch of interstate and I spend much of the summer avoiding it.

Bummer! I assumed that because I had The Grand Canyon nearly to myself in December of last year that the rest of the national parks quieted down. Now I'm thinking about the tacos at the Grand Canyon restaurant and have the urge to go back.
