    Hey all,

What do you think the cons of this truck are? Aside from the fact that rather than purchasing it, someone should save their money and add the bulk of the the TRD Pro "extras" as aftermarket modifications...what do you think are the negatives on this truck?

Rebuilding those Fox shocks every 50k would be a con for people that don't actually need them.

What exactly does rebuilding the shocks entail? I believe I would need them though.

    Thanks,

Taking them off and sending them in. Probably 2 weeks with no ride.

I'm thinking of making the switch back to a Tacoma (used to have a 2005) from a Tundra and am debating about ordering a Pro or starting with a DCLB Offroad and building it how I want. Either buying a Pro or building an off road will be about the same price all in and I feel that buying an Icon stage 7 (or comparable ADS/Fox/King package) will perform better than the TRD Pro suspension. Any of you folks have thoughts based on experiences with the last gen of TRD Pros? If I can get a better performing truck for the same price I don't really care about the fancy grill and badges.

Just a little worried that the Tacoma will feel under powered compared to my supercharged Tundra but I don't need a full size truck any more and I want some peace of mind not having a heavily modded truck with 110k miles on it.

My SSM looks like cement in certain light, I like the Pro grill a little better then my sport grill and I put Clazzio leather seat covers in my Sport. Next. LOL :duel:

If you are going to add any weight to the truck, then the PRO is a waste, since its dialed in for a stock truck. The only good thing about the PRO is resale value if you were going to keep it a low-mileage, non modified truck.

No doubt they really missed the mark on those wheels. You'll probably still sell some sets though:thumbsup:

Anyone know the most lift you can add to the TRD Pro without replacing those Fox shocks?
