Cheap spacers and blocks, 33's, poor man upgrades.
My 01 gave me hell after plug replacement, check your igniter box, mines on pax side. pull it off, rust or dirt anything really caused it to ground out from ignition. may or may not help...

This may be of little help since I think I just got lucky, but I only removed the drain hose and pushed it back on and it drained out a gallon of water. (mine was overflowing onto the floor mat). Maybe you could try and blow compressed air back through the drain line to hopefully unplug it?

Guys, what can I use to seal the rubber grommet in the firewall? I'm not sure if silicone will adhere well to the rubber and remain flexible as a permanent solution.

    Plumbers putty?

There is the automotive equivalent that the cap placed used to seal up my leaking truck cap. Not sure it's official name. It was black and the same consistency as plumbers putty.

I've always used silicone sealant without issues.

    Was thinking about plumbers putty
Does silicone shrink over time though? I never want to hassle with this issue again.

Pure silicone will last a long time. It's what is used in fish tanks to seal the glass pieces.

You writing this up in your build thread, Rob? Because I'm thinking about doing the same thing for the same reason.
