Napa Gold filters and Napa synthetic oil. The Napa brand oil is the same as valve line but cheaper since it is the "house brand".

x2. Always a good idea to take pictures of purchases and save receipts for record keeping in case you have to prove maintenance.

I even started using a paint marker and writing the mileage on the filter too.

I just went to a dealership one day and bought 6 filters at once, so I'm stocked for a while. They were like $5 each; at that price I hardly thing it's worth buying anything but an OEM filter and even shop around online and pay shipping. As for oil, I just get it at Costco when its on sale or at AutoZone if I need it day-of the oil change. I try to be loyal to Mobil1 but if another name-brand full synthetic is on sale I'll go with that. I change the oil around 5000 miles anyway, so I can't imagine I'm taking any risks with oil quality/longevity.

    .
I run mobil one synthetic in all my tacos including my new one. An buy the toyota oil filters (oem) from toyota or sometimes ebay. What oil you run is really up to whatever you personally like. There all pretty good. But go with oem filter. Jmo

I forgot to mention that Toyota has a self report for maintenance on their website.

OEM filters and Mobil 1 full synth from Sams. They usually have a special, 6 qts for around $28.

I grabbed a 10 pack of OEM D3 (longer) oil filters on ebay when i bought my truck for 45 bucks shipped (including drain plug gaskets) I buy mobile 1 full syn 0w-30 when its on sale at walmart for ~20 bucks for a 5 qt jug. Never been to the dealership but once (the first time) for an oil change.
