3/4 and 1 ton pickups use straps so I doubt it would be a problem. I never used lock tite on them because they are very easy to snap but check it after 50, 100miles after install and then I would just check them every oil change when I went over the rest of the truck. Also look for marks on the two shafts by that joint. Two peice shafts need to be balanced together so if you put it back together opposite you could get a vibe. No big deal just take it apart and put it back at 180 degrees but look for marking to save the trouble.

Im starting to think about it. I think we decided in January last year and it was nice having the time to plan. I'm definitely not down for heading out there unless at least one other truck comes with. Me and Steve had a blast all the way out and most of the way back. I'd hate the drive alone.

 

Idk if you want to travel with me but I plan on going. I'm torn between a fridge or OBA though. I might look into the one Craig has for the trip. A cooler wont cut it.

EDIT: I also wanted to hit up maybe the badlands and the teton mountains since I have a friend that lives out that way... Id love to do a sick trip like you and Steve did if I can get the time off and someone else wants to do something like that

I got it done. Did a 30mph test drive. Still need to recheck everything tonight and tomorrow before i go a little off roading

Is that your CV in the front? Looks like the typical axle seal leak. Replaced mine a couple times at this point.

I'm not thinking of going with any further mods, except maybe 885's, (if i can can a deal from @Sub-Zero)
