This is by far the most ridiculous automotive forum I've ever been on. When I had a Jeep everyone joked that jeepsunlimited.com was the forum for all the "what tire size can I run with a 2" budget boost" questions. That site looks like pirate4x4.com compared to here.

You people probably buy an iPhone and then 3 months later when the new model comes out you bitch because Apple added a new feature that your phone doesn't have. Get over it. You knew exactly what you were buying when you got your truck. 99% of you wouldn't even be able to tell a difference between the two gear ratios.

It's already better. Not including the power rear window, locking tailgate, and available leather options. It has a "7" instead of a "6" Welcome to Marketing

You do realize Jeep Wrangler hasn't changed a thing in like 20 years right?

Thanks, must be the exhaust tip, tie downs, and floor mats?...lol Why even bother announcing the decrease in rating, but I digress. My picture is for informational use only, as I am loving my 2016 6MT TRD OR DCSB :crapstorm:

Can someone with a nearby 2017 take one for a spin and confirm Tach reading at 70mph? Assuming .58:1 6th gear ratio, 3.9 rear end should run about 1740rpm @ 70 mph and the 4.3 gear would run about 1920rpm @ 70 mph. This would only be true if the torque converter is locked and I'm not sure how they behave, but it might be worth a shot.

Sales managers. They know everything. Unless they are just reading the same possibly misprinted document.
