I guess I'll put my build thread in the right place and maybe get some more input.

So I used to have a 2000 SR5 4x4 that I really enjoyed but with the addition of a little guy around the house, I had to upgrade to a DC.

    The previous Tacoma-
    CB_zps3dd5a6f2_c96e27b980b867cf1f08e4269863cdc344e66539.jpg

I searched for a while and a pretty mint 2007 DCLB TRD Sport popped up on my local CL. 61k miles at that.

When I first purchased the new Tacoma-
    tacoma_zpscienxf8h_f7e0a5c713da11da8c529970744798c6f90d9d5a.jpg

It was bone stock when I purchased it back in February of this year. I had planned on not doing anything besides adding a topper. Well, that went out the window fast the first time I took it to Fort Fisher which is a local beach access known for deep sand and lots of ruts.

I started researching lifts and decided a mild lift would best fit what I was going for. Ended up with going with 5100s all around, Toytec springs in the front along with an AAL in the rear. This produced a 2" lift in the rear with 1 7/8" lift up front. We all know when you lift your truck it just doesn't look right with those stock tires on it so...FNWheels have been calling my name for a while. Went with the Matte Black 16x8 with a 0 offset and a set of Falken Wild Peak AT3W in size 32"x10.5" which gave me an additional 1" to the height of the truck.

I can honestly say this is the coolest vehicle I have ever ever owned year to date! I love the way it handles the beach and I am sure it will do great when we go to the mountains and hit some snow.

If you made it this far into my description, Thanks!

First thing I added was a topper. I don't think I would ever own a truck again without one, so useful.

Now for some pics of how she currently sits-

Rock sliders are my next add on. Been looking at BAMF. I was about to place an order but just wanted to do a little more research. I live on the east coast so I am sure shipping is expensive from the west coast.

    Any recommendations?

Check out SOS concepts! He is an awesome guy to work with, and he's in SC, so not too terribly far from you.

EDIT: Just checked on google maps and that's only 3.5 hours from you. Now you'll save on shipping!

I wouldn't mind either! I wish he were closer to me since I want one of his front bumpers.

A while back I got a set of Coverkings for the front from member Swank. Picked up the rears on Amazon. Not as nice as the Wet Okole I had on my previous Tacoma but also not as expensive either.

Nice truck man! Love to hear your enthusiasm with your build. I love my truck too! I haven't enjoyed a vehicle of mine in such a long time.

Haven't been to Ft. Fisher in years. Used to live in Wilmington and would surf down there every now and then. I also had to offload my 1st gen for a 2nd gen DC. I regret not buying a DC 1st gen. I would still be driving it. Truck looks good!!

Thanks man! I am really enjoying it.
I love Fort Fisher, still pretty quiet down that way. Wilmington is getting way too busy for me. I would really like to move to the mountains honestly.

Nice truck, been looking at seat covers but am trying to avoid Wet Okole's because of cost, how do the cover kings fit on the sport seats?

    Thanks.
The coverkings are ok. The just don't have as many straps to pull the cover tight. They still are not cheap either. I would go with Wet Okole as they cover more of the seat as well. My coverkings are neosupreme, whatever that is. I almost sold them to buy the Okoles, then I came to my senses.

Do you know which set (model number) of seat covers you got? I ordered a set of front Cover kings for my 2011 DCSB TRD OR and the driver side fit nicely, but the passenger didn't fit at all. Their customer support claims I ordered the wrong set.

I purchased the fronts from TW member Swank. I looked back at messages from him and did not see a part number. I know there is a difference if you have side airbags, not sure what other options would make it fit or not.

Just put an order in for a set of SOS sliders. A lot of good fab shops I have seen via TW but the fact I can go pick them up within a 3 hour drive helps for sure.
    Thanks for the heads up!

Budbuilt makes some nice looking stuff and they are near Hickory. The mountains are great. Much cooler and peaceful.

I LOVE the mountains. I have been contemplating moving to the mountains for over a decade now. We visit a little town called Celo a few times a year. Spruce Pine is where I would want to move though. My list for reasons TO MOVE keep growing. The humidity has been getting to me more than usual down here on the coast this year.

Celo is a great little community. We live about 15 minutes from their. Lots of great hiking. What brings you to the area?
