The Pilot fire in the San Bernardino mtns is really blowing up I can still see a huge smoke plume and it's very hazy smoke filled skies were I live . It is very close under 5 miles from Lake Arrowhead and still 5% containment . The weather reports don't look good after mid week they're forecasting 100 deg plus temps and winds so it's going to be more red flag weather

See what you all missed?!?!?!? Grass cutting was epic.....fail....

First off, I forgot to throw a gas can in the truck. Had to go home, get the can, drive back into town to get gas....THEN start cutting. It's rained every time I tried to cut for the last 2 weeks. My grass needs cutting every 5 or 6 days. It was a freekin' hay field. So tall, I had to mow parts of it 3 times to get it to correct length, and to grind up clippings. The 1-1/2 hours on the tractor turned into 4. I was about 5 minutes from being done when I RAN OUT OF GAS.. Back to town AGAIN. Then the bump feed head on the weed eater decided to go crazy:( It would feed about 2' of string instead of 4" when you bumped it. Made that job hell....:frusty: Then the freekin' leaf blower didn't want to start. The reason? I had the off/on switch in the OFF position.:facepalm:

So....5-1/2 hours and it's done. I'm done too. Toasted from the sun and humidity.

We'll be starting the search for a patio home by weeks end. I'm getting too old for this shit! :annoyed:

If it's a 2-position switch, I have a 99 to 1 chance of having it in the WRONG position.

And I'm the guy that at one point in my life, the US Army gave the responsibility of target acquisition for battlefield tactical nuclear weapons.

Rest easy people. Men like me stand on the wall.....
