    I got my build sheet yesterday with the official vin so says my salesman. How can you tell what state the truck is being built

    Ordered my 2017 on July 27th. Slept on it for a couple of weeks then told them to go ahead and order it. 3 weeks ago I was told there were no 2016 4x4 4 cyl standards available nor were they taking orders for 2016's. No build sheet yet, but was told 8 - 12 weeks for delivery. Fingers crossed.

    When is the "build" sheet typically supposed to be available? At what point in the process?

    As soon as the dealer confirms the order with Toyota In most cases it takes a few days. However, in my case due to the unavailable pricing for the 2017 at the time it took 4 weeks for the build sheet. Maybe that is one of the reasons I did not have to leave a deposit

    Hmmm.. that's weird. They took my deposit, based on some 2017 allotments that they already head. They have since confirmed that they changes the colour code on one of the allotments to match my request for Inferno. So does that mean I should have a build sheet?

    You should have your build sheet with vin and options with cost. Talk to your dealer ASAP

    Even with a 2017. Just contact your dealer and have him send it to you over the phone. Hell they got your deposit at least they should provide you your build sheet.

    More correctly he said the truck "is not built yet". I think I will ask for the build sheet specifically tomorrow.

    I got my build sheet with the temporary vin. The official vin will not be issued until the truck is built.

    I ordered it on 8/1 and I got the build sheet on 8/5. The dealer didn't order the correct options and I got a new build sheet today.
