TSB done yesterday. Truck runs like a totally different truck. Hope it stays this way. Couldn't be happier.:burnrubber:

Had mine done yesterday too. It's weird it is like a totally different truck. I could tell within 10 seconds of driving when it didn't power surge at take off. Don't know why they didn't have it set up like that in the first place

Did they put a sticker on the truck? I got my transmission reprogrammed and asked if they put a sticker on when I picked it up. They told me that they don't do that but it's entered into the computer.

its usually standard practice to do put the sticker, but yes it's always submitted to Toyota Canada so it'll show that the TSB's been done when you look up history on the truck

The service guy I spoke to said they don't put the sticker on for software updates. I asked about it.

I was wondering if that was a Toyota USA procedure and not done in Canada.

Anyone in Saskatchewan have the tsb done? I'm in Moose Jaw. I've had my truck for a couple weeks and love it, only thing I have noticed is when using cruise, it shifts to 4th around 3200 rpm's on the smallest inclines and won't shift up when it levels out unless I tap the gas, pretty annoying. Not sure if this is a problem others are having? I haven't read all ten thousand posts on this.

Mine did that. It got better with mileage. When they do the update it resets the learning transmission. I find that it did it a bit on the way home but the. Quickly shifted back to 6th gear. The truck feels more responsive now. And after some more kilometres the transmission will relearn my driving techniques and will be good.
Last night I went for a highway drive and it never downshifted once to 4th on the highway. Truck felt good. I had to take 1 step backwards to get the update and reset the ECU but then it's 2 steps forward.
Also backing into my garage, I would have too lightly touch the throttle before the update to get up my driveway. Now I can just idle into my garage. No throttle needed.

Mine did that exact same thing ... big time... I put 3/4 liter of tranny fluid in and it's 98% gone.... NOW I want that Tranny update to straighten things out..... You might be a little low on fluid like I was....

Thanks, I'll mention that as well, I'd rather not have to do anything myself since I've only had the truck two weeks. I'm guessing being in Moose Jaw I'm going to get a strange look from the service guy up at Toyota who probably hasn't heard of any of this stuff.

Just got mine back today from its first service and transmission TSB, and it drives so much better. Should have been this way from the factory.

I'm bringing mine in for them to look at on Friday, doubt the tsb will be done since I was the first they have heard of with any issues. I guess it's a start though.
