I also have confirmed that my base model truck is not prewired for anything. I have the OEM parts to wire cruise control...I can't even find the prewired clutch disengage for the cruise, so next time home I'll have my single cabs dash all tore up and hopefully cruise control for the next 600 mile trip back to work.

Oh it's a great thing! It's one of a few great ways to carry a spare off the hitch we do at Wilco Offroad. Sorry for the FJ image.

    Just a few minor things.
Last night, about 20 minutes after I got home from work. Giant oak limb almost fell on my truck.

After cutting this thing down to size, cleaning up a bit, and realizing that there was next to zero damage to the truck, I enjoyed one of my favorite local brews. Cheers:cheers: And heads up TacomaWorld.

    Thanks Rick.

The FJ pictured has our standard/classic Hitchgate...96lbs...about 5 or more inches above the hitch.

Rick has the Hitchgate Solo that's 53lbs...and stacks directly on top of the hitch.

I made a thing to put my ultragauge on so it sits just over my phone mount.

Installed an OEM rack. Digging the style on it, and it should hold me over until I can get a Baja or Prinsu rack.

Close the crossbars on it as 1 it will change your gas mileage. And 2 what a noise it makes.

Stowed them away once I'd taken the picture :) Just wanted a record of it open. Torn between what comes next: a bestop, or just keep saving for a bumper/lift combo.

Still torn. I really like not having Windows on the sides, but also am not certain that I want a Velcro strip on my tailgate. I like how the bestop secures into the brackets. Haven't seen either in person yet though.
