Looks like the mobilinkd battery is low. The report shows it less than 3.9v. I recall reading low voltage can cause errors. Charge it untoll the red light goes off then try it again.

Edit: The user guide says it is not recomended to run it when the battery voltage is below 3.7. Yours isnt quite there but I would still charge it up and try again. It should be at 4.2v.

Go to map view. It'll show you other aprs stations. Like if I was near you that's how you see me. It'll show weather stations and repeaters. It's how you see people without the internet.

 

If you want to try it, I can toss my old one in the truck. No guarantee it is better than yours but may be worth a try.

 

Works on my droidx. Should work in yours. Just a different view. They are kinda buried in the app. Hit the menu button on your phone and should see it I think.

Worth a shot. I'm bring a normal tarp in case it rains.

Ben, the APRSdroid app with the Mobilinkd TNC modem is definitely capable of displaying other near by beacons. This works with my setup. I suspect that info is related to the digirepeter/iGate being used to access the APRS network. Anyone using that iGate shows up on my map. It may be that you just never noticed them on the map but they should also be listed on that activity page. It may be there just aren't others doing the same thing near by if you are not seeing any.

 

If any of you guys have ever considered having a skid for your read diff, now is the time. Jerry/BAMF is going to do a limited run.

How is the RFI with it on. Any noise? Are you doing anything to suppress it?

@SconnieHailer how did you get your MTR's to stay balanced? Mine were good for the first 5k miles and now that I rotated them this thing is wobbling like a drunk Vegas hooker on the highway.

Went and had xrays today. Luckily only bruised the bones on a couple ribs.
