This thread is the poster child for TacomaWorld 3rd Gen forum. Almost better than Selena Gomez thread.

I totally agree that adjustable seat height should be a no-brainer in a $35k+ vehicle, but I just don't get what is "bizarre" about it now? I understand people have different preferences, but feels like a pretty damn average seat position to me. And I rent a lot of different vehicles for work.

The Taco's seats are about the same distance from the floor as my BMW 3-series, which most passengers complain has too low seating. Most trucks have a much more upright seating position (obviously the Taco's poor headroom limits how high the seats can get, but at least give shorter drivers the option to sit higher). I'm 6', and the skewp on the Sport model I test drove was obscuring my visibility. That truck didn't have a sunroof, but I could have sat several inches higher.

well there's your problem - you're too tall for a 3-series, so your entire frame of reference is screwed up! :boink:

I like low seating in a vehicle; makes it feel more sporty. I don't think my preferences align with the typical midsize truck buyer though. Look at all the threads on here about raising the driver's seat.

So the good news for 2016 owners: it sounds like the 2017 won't be changing gear ratios.

The bad news for 2017 owners: the 2017 has carried over pretty much every single issue the 2016 has because toyota was too lazy to even plug the LCAs.

@DaveInDenver they probably did at one time, but none of the Tacomas do at this point. Only the OffRoad has anything that is more than an open differential with electronic or automatic limited slip by use of brakes. The fact Toyota calls it a LSD makes the issue confusing.

41k MSRP and no front bed rail. It's literally a 2016 with a power window and howling control arms
