The PO bought the shell model and built out the interior. Some laminated MDF that is only 1/2" and pretty light. I redid a portion of it with 1/2" Baltic birch and some Home Depot 1/2" birch to fit the fridge and water containers. I'm torn between re-doing some of the cabinets and ripping everything out and starting fresh. The long bench and opposing high cabinet setup was way more versatile in the Flippac. Maybe this winter.

I used about 2-1/2 sheets of 4'x8'x1/2" birch in the Flippac for everything, so the weight savings of composites wasn't worth the cost IMO. Plus working with that stuff is beyond my skill level.

Edit: FWC stopped using MDF/ particle board in the late 80's/ early 90's IIRC.

Composites isn't that difficult, the difference is the vacuum process. If you can make kydex holsters, you can make carbon fiber. My friend showed me the whole process to make carbon fiber wings, it's pretty interesting. It's kinda like our driveshafts. You can use corrugated cardboard on the inside to support a sheet of 1/2" thick carbon fiber with several millimeter thick formed carbon fiber. The biggest expense is time and making everything custom. But dood, imagine the build thread.

That's what I see every morning... Although I'm always the first one up because of work. I get up, take the dog out and then get ready to go to the office and the entire time the dog looks at me like that. A year and he still has a glimmer of hope that I'll be like "Fuck work lets go for a walk!"
If only... Much rather hang with him for the day. I have a great job but an entire day with my bud? No competition.
