Sooooo I started feeling pretty good around 3 this afternoon. I think walking around all day helped my broken ass feel better. Figured I'd go to the gym and try to hit legs. Threw the bar on my back, didn't feel too bad. Put 135 on, and I barely got back up. Decided after that legs weren't going to happen today.

Figured I couldn't bench because it would kill me, too. Hit shoulders 2 days ago, so I wasn't going to do those again. Decided to just do arms. Because curls for the girls. Had one of the best pumps I've had in a while. Then did some steady state cardio for 30 mins.

So decided to cut all carbs for this week since the weekend is going to be a carb overload. I just seriously hope I don't mess this up lol.

Also in other news realized mfp can miscalculate by quite a bit unless I'm missing something. I'm finishing up my night and decided to just see where I was for intake today. (I've been trying my share at not tracking while cutting until the end of the day to see how close I can get.)

MFP has me at 1782 for the day and I was about to grab a few pieces of string cheese to end it at 2000. So before the string cheese my macros are at

31 c / 62 f / 249 protein which if you know math that equals 1678 not 1782 like mfp says. So the moral of this long drawn out story is count your damn macros not your calories. Now I'm gonna have an extra piece of pepper jack string cheese. Goodnight ladies

As in I picked it up in store! So yes haha.
It is on sale at Menards! Hopefully you have one near you. 5.99 for a 10 oz bag was completely worth it for me. Normally it's over 10 dollars.

Wasn't the best day in the gym yesterday after the weekend. Did manage to put up 155 on the bench for 2 sets of 4 so that's an improvement. Finally started tracking everything so I can remember what I did before to try to improve.

Skipped the gym yesterday for a couple reasons. 1. I was fucking exhausted all day from sleeping shitty Sunday. 2. Sunday afternoon I was playing football and pulled some shit in my shoulder/arm while throwing. It started as just a pain in my shoulder which I usually get after throwing for more than 5 mins, but it extended down my tricep and really peaks in pain on the tendon on the inside of my elbow where my tricep connects to the bone. If I bring my forearm up like I'm gonna flex, I can feel that tendon stretch and it hurts like hell. I didn't warm up at all and my body is no longer used to throwing, so I think I just pulled everything and now it's like a damn piano wire. Gonna try to do some light chestnbis today.

    TL;DR: I'm getting old :pout:

That's why I count in my head, as well as on MFP. Usually, when I'm buying food at the grocery store, I look food up as I buy it to make sure what's on the label correlates with MFP.

You spent $300 on beef jerky? That's the most American shit I've ever heard

Go in for MRI this friday for a possibly shoulder injury. Been ongoing pain for years when lifting only.... Guess it's time I stop neglecting it because it's seriously affecting my workouts now... But, I wasn't a bitch and I still made it to the gym yesterday :luvya:

Had a pretty good pull day. Wrapped my thumb (from when I jammed it 3 weeks ago) because I keep reaggrevating it doing the most random stuff (taking socks off is the worst). Still managed to get a good workout in despite not being able to bend it. Hopefully this steady dose of icy hot and wrapping will make it heal quicker...

I AM COMMITTING TO THIS BULK - but I don't know when I am going to start it. I have aspirations to compete this time next year and I think I need to add a solid 8-10 lbs of muscle to my 6'2" frame to be competitive. Gonna have to have this diet dialed in as well. This will helpe me get there. And cooked weight (nutrition profile) makes it so that I am not paying much more pound for pound than buying lean meat to cook up. I am not making the jerky my meals, but a snack (3-4oz/day) just to round out my diet and get them GAINS.

I buy jerky anyway, so I figured why not just stock up :notsure:

I'm with you, man. I love beef jerky and it's usually expensive as hell. I usually get a big pack of Jack Link's once a month or so and it's like $10! Only downside is that it's so high in sodium, but YOLO.

The sodium is the only potential downside... I just wont eat it for a couple weeks leading up to a show to avoid retention, but for bulking season I figure if I drink enough water it won't matter. Sodium content has never really scared me. The remainder of my diet is very low sodium anyway.

Yeah, it's all about water consumption. I eat like 3500 mg per day and drink a gallon of water and my bp is like 100/60 lol. you'll be holding water weight from all the carbs anyway, so I don't think that'll be a big deal either.

So, I'm flying to Kansas City for the day Thursday for work. Through my binge-watching of the Travel Channel, I know Kansas City has some awesome eateries, especially when it comes to BBQ. Definitely gonna try a few places for lunch and second lunch

I spent a couple months in Kansas City training for the job I have now. I love that place. The food is top shelf... I don't think you are looking for suggestions because the travel channel will know what's up, but if you do let me know.

I'm always open to suggestions. I'm actually driving back as soon as I get there (I'm going to pick up a car), so I'll probably eat there right when I land and head back home. The directions have me stopping in St. Louis, Nashville, and Chattanooga, so I'll be trying their best place, too!
