This is encouraging... I've never used clay before and I just bought a kit. Been too hesitant to use it so far though. Not anymore! How long did it take you?

Any chance you could post a pic of the higher clearance version on a Tacoma? I know many would like to see that. Very cool product, BTW. A good solution for those of us who work with our trucks, but like to explore in them too.

Sounds like the problem is your shocks. Still on stock? My Ride Rite air bags felt like that on stock shocks, but I put on OMEs and there was no more bounce.

I'd say it took me like 1-1.5 hrs just to do the clay. Gave the truck a good wash beforehand, dried it off and then proceeded to clay. I don't have a buffer either so I didn't do any polishing or anything afterward, just went straight to the Meguiars.

The dirtiest area of the truck where the clay kept grabbing at stuff even with a ton of lube was on the rear fender down near the exhaust.

Used a Mothers clay kit just for reference. Lube smelled super nice, just like cinnamon lol. I had to make sure to timely wipe off the lube after each panel. Otherwise it started to streak.

The picture shows nice UCAs which I like. It also shows a spacer which I don't like. Thus the conflict.

Not sure why TW staff doesn't enforce this breach of the CoC but if one were to take a pic of a Coors in the center console with the keys in the ignition one would get the boot. And obviously I'm not condoning drunk driving.

i've followed your build and respect your work... so i have to ask, why don't you like the spacer?

To me they seem unnecessary if you lift with quality coils and if not paired right could impact the ride feeling (subjective, I know). I'm also in the camp of " install the smallest lift to fit the biggest tires"

they recommended the 1/4 in spacer for my setup, so i went with it. it so tiny i really can't notice a difference...
