The box was a bit beat up but the unit was fine, no missing parts or anything.

Anyone else gonna make their own harness? I don't have lockers so there will be a lot of extraneous wires if I use the included harness, so I think I'm gonna go custom.

Also I'm gonna ditch the 40A Maxi fuse holders and use these circuit breakers.

They're just a bit more expensive than replacement Maxi fuses but they'll make a cleaner install. They're like $9 each and are manually re-settable.

Wasn't in on this GB but I've had my compressor installed using the Slee Offroad bracket and you will not be disappointed.

You will more than likely need to use a manifold since there isn't much room for the chuck directly on the compressor. Also, the plastic tubing provided by Slee to connect the compressor to the manifold is no bueño and popped on the test run in @rogs6266 truck. The plastic tubing is needed since the steel braided line supplied with the manifold is too short. We had custom length steel braided line made for both my setup and @rogs6266 setup.

Pics of the compressor installed in my truck using the Slee Offroad bracket.

Thanks for sharing! That looks like a good spot! Any confirmation if the kit will fit a 4 cyl?

I received TWO compressors. A 24v and a 12v. Bummer about the 12v is that a smaller piece of the heat sink fins broke off during shipping. I think I will ask the vendor if i can swap the heat sinks parts and send back the 24v.

seems like the vendor had no idea that they sent me two. I'm honest and hoping to get some good karma payback some day . They are going to send me a shipping label to return the 24v model.

    What haven’t I changed?
That was the main reason I went with the smaller one to begin with even though I really wanted the twin. But now the Slee mount will free up the passenger corner of my engine compartment so i can fit another battery, or air tank, or disco ball, or whatever I need down the road. I'm just waiting for some more parts to come in and then I can install this thing.

I'm not sure what to think about the Slee mount. It looks super clean and out of the way, but it forces you to get the manifold.

Since mine is an SR5 I have the ABS module in the passenger corner, so I won't be able to put a battery there. Most likely trying to make a bracket to mount it above.

Somebody earlier in the thread also mentioned that the braided line is to short. So you would need something custom.

It was I. The Slee bracket comes with a plastic hose and pressure fittings to replace the braided line but it popped during a test inflation of a 33" tire. I believe the heat caused it to pop because it held up for almost the whole inflation. We ended up getting custom made braided lines ($30-$35 each) to not have that happen again.

This is true but if you're using the Slee bracket, you're all but forced into the manifold because there's not enough room for the air chuck to mount on top of the compressor.
