Hey everyone. Quick question. I noticed that my driver's side heat shield was rattling after a recent wheeling trip and I came to find that the bolts holding it together had completely rotted away. Additionally, two of the aluminum heat shields attached to the cab had fallen off and were bouncing around. I pulled it all out (one of the aluminum shields isn't pictured). Should I attempt to reattach or am I alright leaving it as is, with no heat shields?

    Thanks!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Definitely reattach the cat shield. Those buggers can get mighty hot.

I got the cat shield back up. The bolts for the other shields are too hard to reach by crawling under the truck. If I start to feel some heat in the cabin, I'll lift it up and see if I can reach them. Thanks guys!

For the thin aluminum shield, I just use fender washers and fresh nuts and reattach them. Quick and easy.
