He realized he was full of shit or, was afraid buy publicizing his deal it would hurt his chances of actually getting that price.

 

That's my biggest pet peeve of this Forum.

Mods let a thread go 12 rounds on life support, blood everywhere, kids crying and then Cena it.

If it's gonna be a slow death, let it go and ban people instead of ghosting the thread. Personal insults are not acceptable but fun keeps people coming back once the OP question is answered -- it should be an open thread, in my opinion.

The mods are doing a good job but --- is TW a truck forum or a MENSA meeting?

Ban the individuals, not the threads -- they're fun to read at 1am and harm no one.

Either way, I have a good [normal] deal going at a close-by high volume dealer that we got my wife's 16' Highlander at. I'm holding onto that until I hear back from these folks.

If I don't hear back and it falls through, I'll post screen shots of the entire email thread.

 

The GM or Sales Mgr's son or daughter suddenly needed a loaded 2017 TRD OR 4WD to use at college after your deal paperwork crossed their desk.

 

got my DCSBOR for 32400 plus tax and thought I did GREAT 31k woulda been even better.

 

Alright so, I've tried calling and emailing them since Saturday -- no dice. "I'll get back to you" is all I hear via the phone and nothing via email.

Luckily I'm not one to go all out on this crap -- I don't intend to get something I don't deserve. I ended up going with my original deal (described in the next post) from another dealer.

I had my manager go and double check and you were right! It is out! I'm attaching a V-Spec on a white TRD Off Road Double Cab with Premium & Technology package. Look it over and make sure it's the right truck - if so, your price is $31,758 plus fees down from the $39,783 MSRP. All we need to make this yours is a $500 partial prepayment! the MSRP of the truck is over $39,000 -- my price would be $31,000, what signifies the huge discount. Can you verify that it's $31000?

I am not interested in the tonneau cover, but if this truck is indeed $31xxx I can make that work

Does this truck have the JBL audio? I can't tell from the spec sheet.

Alright, glsec1755,

So, what I found was that when my manager goes in to find the truck he's finding that Toyota's not building the TRD Off Roads with the JBL package for some reason. Now, that could be a weight issue, it may be an allocation issue, I'm not certain. You can, however, upgrade to a Limited and get the JBL standard. In the truck that we sent you, you do have the Entune Premium system, just without the JBL speakers.

Hey [Redacted], not to worry. I was hoping to get one with the JBL but the truck you quoted me on has the Prem & Tech -- which is fully loaded except the JBL. That's OK I can always upgrade the speakers later.

Everything looks good, can you get me $31,758 in writing and round about what the Processing + Handling + Dealer, etc fees would run me? I am trying to figure out what this would be OTD. And I want to make sure I have this in writing before I drive the 40ish minutes to make it "official."
