There's been a number of articles and editorials in our local paper about Yosemite lately. The latest talks about the 100th anniversary of the park service and the volume of people at Yosemite. It's nuts. We used to go up every summer when I was a kid. Best memories I have as a kid, bar none. Camping, floating down the river, hiking to the waterfalls, etc... This was in the 70's. I remember walking through the campgrounds and seeing the guys playing hacky sack. First time I ever saw that. I remember my uncle telling me about the Firefall and wishing I had gotten to see that. Can you imagine them trying to do that nowadays?! I haven't been in a long time, even though I'm only a couple hours away, because of the crowds. There's just too many people in the valley...

Anyway, back to the thread subject. I went to Restaurant Depot to day to pick up a brisket for our upcoming weekend Truckee getaway and saw this monster dually not only parked in a handicap spot with no tag/placard, but he was over the line and his ass was sticking out into the lane (hard to tell in the pick). There was plenty of space for him not 20 yards away...

They do. A little. This year, at the end of March, attendance was up 40% over last year.

This parking lot has diagonal spaces, saw this guy flipping around to park the wrong way as I pulled in.

scary thing that it requires no license, no test, nothing to drive a class a motorhome but you need to jump through hoops to drive a bus (same vehicle, different cargo)
its not better here in Yelly really. I give the rental rv's a wide berth....
when i was in AK i worked at a visitor center for a while. people would call and be all excited about coming up for vacation, picking up their rv and driving to this place and that. they had no concept of the size of alaska or the time it would take to drive across the state  oh the surprise they must have had when they got there and started to manuever them along the two lane highways at 55mph...their 2000 mile vacation plans were shortened before they left the rental lot...

That's a pet peeve of mine, turning into a spot from the wrong way. You're almost never going to make it straight into the spot and 9 times out 10 the person doesn't back out and straighten up. Oh, and then backing into a diagonal spot, which means they were traveling down the aisle the wrong way and will be doing the same on the way out. Ugh off my soapbox for now.

My wife's pet peeve as well. She'll play chicken with you if your driving in the wrong direction.

He's technically still within the lines. He's got to try harder than that to earn a spot here.

Follow him to Walmart or Home Depot.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
This guy you greatly over estimates the size of his Suburban. Parked in one of the two "RV" spots in an otherwise nearly empty lot. At least he was in the lines...IMG_20160808_173649652.jpgThen there was this guy at the hotel blocking the corner spot...IMG_20160808_175415885_HDR.jpg

It's crap like that that is why I got a dashcam. Totally worth the $50 I spent on it

This is another reason I have a plate bumper. I really DGAF if you hit me head on on a residential street.

Not asshole parking, but asshole driving.
I go to let the far right white car in (they were coming out of a gas station), and this stupid bitch in the white focus comes around from behind them and noses in between me and the other car.

Let me paint this for you: I'm in the right lane of the two lanes that goes straight, there is a right turn lane to the right of me, and a left turn lane two over from my left.... < | | > .... make sense?
So this bitch cuts me and the other car off, then proceeds to cut off other people in the next lane over. She waits for the people in the left turn lane to make their turns (she's in the lane next to me, we're both at the line in the straight lanes), then she cuts over to make a left through the light which turned red thus running the light. Complete bitch.
