im adjusting my rear superbumps height. I put the metal tech 3" bump stop extensions and i have about 3" of up travel before i touch the superbump. I believe im limiting it to where i smash the superbump and it springs my rear back causing it to buck. So this weekend ill take the spacer off and do a plate and mount my superbump with the 1.5" total of the UMHW spacers i made. Also need to test the height and rubbage for the 35s.

Sounds like a logical place to start and then get into valving them differently.

I have seen your build on here, looks sweet! Wha superbumps did you get for the rear? Are they listed under 4runner? I know our rear suspension is more similar.

replacement first :anonymous: then valve those.

I had some work supplies in the back today and delivering to a jobsite where i just hit a big dip hard and the front was smooth and fine, the rear i about bit my tongue it threw me forward so much. So i looked under and with weight i had 2" of up travel and these springs are great but any movement and they move so thats not a lot.

normal super bumps as its all they make. But I modified the bracket to fit the super bump. I just think the metal-tech bracket is too tall, which i was adjust this weekend to bring it down to a 1.5" bump stop drop.

yeah they come in 2" and 3" heights. This is a 3" but i think im going to cut the bottom boxed metal out and mount the superbump to that and go from there.

Jealous of your front King resi's. They sent me those type of resi mounts and my coilovers have the straight tube exiting the resi.

I was talking to moodywizard mang. If the OEM ones dont feel any different.

    But

@moodywizard can you explain coming apart feeling better. Like noises or just squeeks from the truck? DK lowers use Delrin and I hear there isnt much give there over Polyurethane.

Next why the 650s? How much weight is on the front?

Sam, I know you're already on that path.
Glad to read the Kings are making you happy.

So is that the front Timberen in the first pic? You can't trim that with a sawzall or blade? The Wheeler's are about the same size.

How do you like the DK? I am thinking that will be my next move for the lowers.

I guess technically you can trim them but your not supposed to. The timbrens are really hard compared to wheelers.

The DK are awesome! Got a good deal on them. Only difference between these and tc are Derlin bushings and tc has dual shock mount.

Has anyone replaced/repaired an axle while it was on the truck. I need to just pull off the spindle side and replace it with my spare axle(i just bought a whole new axle) how hard is it to break off the half shaft with the compression clip inside

Most people I've talked to about timbrens say they are way to stiff for fast stuff, fronts and rears.

Yeap you need to get the spindle and all that crap out of the way and then give axle a good pop straight out. A lot of times we have had to use a pry bar on the clam shell side to get it to pop. You have to get it in the small separation between the axle and the clam. That will expose itself when you pull on the axle once it is free of the spindle. Be careful not to damage the seal as you pull it out and put it back in. A little diff oil on the splines and help to get it back in and then make sure the compression clip catches.

Ah hard compound. So yeah I could see that not being optimal for high speeds.

Do like @Gramps said but make sure you use a stiff pry bar. You need to kind of shock the clip and if the bar flexes you play hell getting it to release.
