https://ssl.toyota.com/owners/login?# I registered at this website and all my service records are listed, including the TSB update. It took a couple of days after the service was performed to show up, so if your's isn't there yet, give it a bit of time.

What are people getting for mileage with the manual? So far I'm averaging 21.2 per tank but curious as to what other drivers are getting

I don't live in a mountain area, but have several hills and my cruise was the same as yours. I have tested it on two seperate trips now and it has been flawless. The transmission does not stutter and is very smooth. I am now 100% happy. I was confident toyota would have a fix, but it doesn't help when it drives like crap.

Just got a call from the dealer saying they reflashed mine and it's ready to go. Fluid was good as well. Can't wait to pick it up and find out.

I'm having trouble getting my dealer to do the flash. Sitting here for the second time waiting on a tech to free up so we can go for a drive and prove if it's doing what is listed in the TSB. Might have to try a different dealer.

They decided to just flash it without taking the drive. WOO! We'll see how she drives once the paperwork is done here in a few minutes but I'm sure with all the other success folks have had on here it will be great!

    It makes no difference.
I and another member, checked both ways.
I did mine unpinned first, then pinned.
He did his pinned first, then unpinned.

It makes no difference checking the transmission pinned or unpinned. I have done it myself both ways.

I had not seen mine since last service. Everything finally showed up including the TSB. I had a grease smear that they repaired. On the ticket is says I have after market tint. Never tinted. Curious why they would list that. Maybe to avoid paying for another issue. Not a biggie. Was never tinted. It is good to access records. Better than carfax.

Got the TSB done last week. No sticker but is listed on service documents. Improved R-D shift & cruse control no longer hold 4th gear after crest of the hill.
I did not have any shifting issues.
Mileage has also improved. I drive a 130 mile round trip this past weekend on state roads mostly 40 - 55 MPH and averaged 25.5 mpg.

Just had the TSB done. No sticker either but it was noted on the paperwork. Didn't try reverse to drive yet but it did feel like just driving felt better. Might be a placebo effect....Guess we will see over the next couple of days.

Had the tsb done today and feels about the same so far. I haven't had any issues with my transmission so far.......they didn't list or say anything about my AFE intake.

Transmission was full on fluid....looks like I'm lucky. They Checked manually

Just got mine back and noticed no difference on the way home. I was not able to get on the highway and try out the cruise but it's still a dog. Pretty much the throttle needs to be to the floor to get her moving. Unless it's is in ECT then it runs like I feel it should.

Seems like that's not right. Stepping on the gas seems to just do nothing until it hits the floor, then it revs like crazy and slowly gets up to speed. I disconnected the battery and will take her out later to see if it changes. No sticker either.

I'm hoping it gets better, I have less than 500 miles on it but man, my wife's Highlander feels like a rocket compared to the Tacoma. I don't expect muscle car performance but I do expect something to happen when I press the accelerator. And I don't feel like I should have to drive around in ECT mode all the time.

Making wish I stayed with a manual.

Im new to the group. Im really at a lost and need some input. We bought a 2016 Tacoma and we have had it since june. Transmission issues galore. We finally added a leveling kit and 33in nittos to it and the truck is running even worse. Its basically staying in 4th gear most of the time.

Had a Toyota dealer ride with me today with his laptop, etc to record how it was doing. He told us that he would do the same in another tacoma and get back with us.

Couple of hours later he calls and tells me that its the tires and the lift causing the issue. WTF?? We had the issue BEFORE the lift and tires. Are we suppose to buy a 45k truck and leave it stock? Ive owned 3 other tacomas and have never had an issue with them at all.

Any ideas as what to do to get this thing straightened out? Also the gas mileage is killing us too..its averaging 8-12 mpg.

You have low tranny fluid...!!! That is the No.1 problem you got... get it filled... No friggin' computer checks... have it done "manually"... either the dealer, or you, or a tranny shop... THEN, and only then, take it in to the dealer and have the ECM tranny flash performed...

You will love the truck then...! Garr-un-teed...!! Good luck..
