Wow this thread filled up fast! :crapstorm: Crazy day at the office, just now settling down and finally getting caught up.

Sounds to me like the preferred plan would be a potluck dinner on Sat night, maybe also breakfast either Saturday or Sunday?

@Nicklovin , maybe start a poll to see who's down with what? Then we can better plan who's going to bring what, etc.

We're locked in for Fri-Sun, myself +2 kids. I'm bringing a cabin-style tent, but have an extra 3-man if needed.

I'm a "maybe +1 + dog." If she makes a decision soon and I'm still able to grab a camping permit (57 sites left) then I'll be bringing my 2 burner propane stove, small camping kitchen with skillet/grill sheet, a couple pans and pots, and a couple chairs. I have an ARB 4' awning on my rack, shovel, traction boards, tow strap, jumper box w/ air compressor and a 2nd cheap 12v air compressor. We'll be sleeping in the bed with my bestop and sleeping platform. Not sure if we'll hit the dunes or just enjoy the beach with the dog. She has a few diet restrictions so we'll probably do our own meals, but anyone is welcome to use my cooking equipment as long as they return it fairly clean.

Could always buy one just in case. Only $18 and it'd suck to have her say okay too late

Just living in this hell hole, atleast its finally starting to cool down to the low 100's now lol Nice truck! I almost ended up with the same color truck as you. I only had 2 choices when I went to buy my truck. Blue or white were the only TRD OR 4x4's that had on the lot and I needed to get a ride that weekend. If I do end up going ill probably leave here around 4 on Friday. if you're heading up around then maybe we can start a caravan.

Yeah man. It's a trip how hot it gets your way. Our highs here are in high 90's. I like the Pabst Blue Ribbon metallic. Thanks for the compliment. Hard as heck to keep clean. And the scratches... well, whoops. haha

I'll be arriving in Pismo on Friday at 2 but I can meet you at the entrance and you can follow me to the campsite. Definitely gonna be dark when you arrive.

If you want to camp you have to reserve a spot & they have less than 100 left for that weekend

Yeah, not worried about the dark. I have a 42" above the windshield, 30" in the lower grill, ditch lights, 2 pods on the back of the rack facing about 60 degrees out and a small bar on the rack facing backwards. I almost have 360 degrees covered lol

If the lady doesn't have to work on that Friday then I'll take Friday off and we'll head up earlier. Has anyone set CB and HAM stations yet?

were coming friday night. we will be there late. probably 9 or 10 pm on the sand. will have probably 6 vehicles total. at least 1 truck bed full of old and dry firewood. 2 full size coleman ice chests.

lets hurry up and decide on food for saturday night. something fast and easy. burgers, dogs or asada. all easy as hell to cook and fast. making a costco run on thursday to pick up anything needed.

gear wise i think were just tents and minimal recovery gear. snow shovels, straps, etc. summer is usually colder, regadless of what weather apps say, so dont forget sweatshirts and blankets!

also, no glass on the beach! we have had rangers come into camp just to check if theres glass. no questions asked they will write EVERYONE a ticket in camp if they see glass, so leave it at home and dont chance it! everyone makes beer in a can these days so no excuses!

anyways...long day. rant over. i vote dinner saturday and breakfast sunday. should be on the road by 11am at the LATEST. traffic coming south SUCKS and can easily take twice as long to get home.
