This totally sucks man. I think USAA will take care of you, they are a pretty amazing company. I have been stressing about this scenario because I have had to park my truck in the driveway the past week or so due to moving stuff around in the garage. I know what my project for this evening will be. lol

Sorry about the truck man. I haven't seen it mentioned yet but be careful while you're driving it now. Since it was reported that the truck was involved in a series of crimes, someone could see you around town and think "That's the asshole that did XYZ!" and look for revenge or otherwise cause more problems for you. A damn shame that people don't care about other people's property (obviously), but at least they didn't strip the truck. That tells me it was probably teenagers to early 20s- kids. They took little things like the patches, but left money items like lights and wheels.

Thanks everyone for the support, good words and bad words haha. I won't know anymore until Thursday morning but I will keep you guys posted. I think this thread has some great info and a lot of good comedy in it and can hopefully help others.

As for my plans... I have been thinking like crazy what I would do if kept. Long travel, SAS, space ship.... So many options for a salvaged truck hahahahaha

CSI is just a TV show and they aren't going to do the DNA thing, They didn't even hold the truck so they could get finger prints.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Chris said that the csi did pull fingerprints from the truck and dna from the mask, and kept all that stuff as evidence. All those picks were from the cops.

Yes there really are CSI units. They are not fancy like TV but the cop told me he hand many prints and DNA from the pipe and hair in the mask.

Yeah...they have to do a CYA run through because it was involved in crimes...and if 3 days from now they get a report of a felony/death related to it and they didn't pull prints and DNA they would be so screwed...If it were found at the side of the road empty with no reports then they would give it a who gives a shit once over and hand it back to you...

Well ill be damned. My buddies 70 Chevelle was stolen, stripped, and pushed down an embankment and the police pretty much shrugged their shoulders and moved on.

Glad to hear that you recovered the truck, I'm sure that insurance will take care of ya. What bums me out is that they messed with your patch collection, what a bunch of dickweeds. Karma will get their ass.

Thank you very much everyone!!! Big day is Thursday now. Much closer than waiting until the 23rd if the truck wasn't found so at least I will get closure much sooner!

I haven't posted much yet on this topic, and I will once I get to close this book. But there have been a few members that have reached out to me personally and offered help in their own ways. I can't say enough what it has meant to me that people have been so helpful and selfles. Some with personal messages, others wanting to donate a thing or two.

Also to everyone who has responded on here and other threads of mine. It's so awesome! I know people get a little caught up in some of the drama on TW but I have met some great friends around the US and just love the Toyota community. Thank you very much TW family, you have made this endeavor much easier and I am forever great full!!!!!!!

Well on the bright side, if there even can be one, is that the fog light mounts are still intact. Shows that they were very well made.

Also, just a note. I see that you might be military. If you do get the truck rebuilt and keep it I strongly recommended you call base police and have a voluntary dog test to sniff the truck. If it tests positive they should keep a record in case you get a random test again in the future. Just something to think about.

It sucks that your truck got stolen. I'm thinking of chaining the steering wheel of mine when I park it as the military does when they have to park somewhere unsecured.
