I held my tongue long enough. You constantly chatter back, insisting on absolutes that you know everything and experienced everything. You contest other folks personal knowledge and experience, demanding that you are right. You personally attack me insisting that I am merely confused and then you have nothing nice to say but sh*t on the OPs current medical fight. GFY old man

Wow this thread spiraled downward quickly...

I believe that safe driving habits are more important than minute changes in a vehicles setup. And yes some accidents are unavoidable, but we cannot be consumed by the 'what if' situations, otherwise no one would be driving a Tacoma instead opting for ultra safe econoboxes, public transportation, or simply telecommuting and not going out at all.

Tacoma is a very safe vehicle, if not for the ill advised modifications that some people make to them.

Very safe ≠ as safe as it could be. Why not advocate for everyone to only get lowering kits and road tires?

Lowering kit will compromise your suspension, which could promote part breakage just by driving over something uneven that fell on the road.
I do suggest road tires. Tractor tires have no business on a road vehicle.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
There's one guy in this thread that has great book knowledge, incredible really. Then there's 10+ guys that have REAL world experience in this exact situation, and also have good book knowledge, maybe a couple have great book knowledge also. I know I would want to hear from both, but I would put a LOT more weight behind those who have actual experience.
I have driven many vehicles, multi million miles driven, I've trained others to drive, and I've been in dozens of situations where I had to make instant reactions to unforeseen situations, and I have felt the difference with or without swaybars. In nearly all stock configurations of any vehicle the sway bar should be left alone to do its job. But, in a custom suspension, you can control the sway with spring rate, and you can make the vehicles suspension work so much better without the independent sides of the suspension fighting each other. I'd rather be in a vehicle with custom suspension set up for the vehicle.

Nonsense. Like I've said before, I've had swaybars disconnect unexpectedly. Only then can you really know what the impact is from not having one.

That is unplanned, the planned removal and compensation for said removal is a completely different scenario. Any unplanned, untested catastrophic failure or degradation will obviously result in an unknown and potentially unsafe situation. The OP is asking about a deliberate and planned modification not failure.

While deliberate, it is, in effect, an intentional CATASTROPHIC FAILURE.
And nobody has suggested any valid mechanism for compensating for it.

I'm been dealing with the cards I've been dealt, thank you.

I was not asking for sympathy and certainly wouldn't look for it from you. I'm sorry that your *son* had to deal with cancer and surprised that his experience didn't make you a more compassionate member of society.

We are all going to die from something and if you are truly worried about putting other peoples lives in jeopardy you should hang up your truck keys and purchase a safer vehicle for those that you share the road with.

You jumped into this thread and spouted your opinion and got confrontational with people you didn't agree with without including any real world experience which is what I was asking about. This approach seems to be what you take in most of the threads I've seen you participate in here.

Life's too short to deal with assholes and you sir, are being an asshole.

A higher spring rate does compensate for it. even though you are going to argue that fact also.
