Pretty sweet ride. I know. I usually only take them out on weekends if it's not raining on too windy. What can I say I prefer the finer things in life.

Pretty much a stock truck. Only thing I've done is replace stock shocks with some bilstein 5100.

Technically it's our third car, but this is my new weekend runabout. 2012 GT. It feels great to have a Mustang in the garage again. It's a stock beast (except for wheels and flowmasters), but I'm already looking at superchargers.

Are you happy with the switch? I've had a bunch of Subaru's and love those cars. I'm sure the Vette's a totally different animal though.

I am, yes. Both vehicles have their pros and cons.

    The Subaru
    - Tons of power (when the boost hit just right it was amazing)
    - Loved the gauge and stereo setup I had in it
    - Every part I added was high end so everything worked perfect
    - First car I purchased post college when I got my first real job, it was only a year old with 16k on it when I bought it.

    - Always felt fragile, was very concerned about things breaking in the motor
    - Worst paint ever
    - Started to get worried about rust even though it had only seen 4 winters with me
    - The Subaru scene was far too bro
    - Low quality interior
    - Brembro brakes can be a huge headache to deal with if you get hit with galvanic corrosion
    - Watching a car that was mint age

    The Corvette
    - Removable roof (the main reason I got the car)
    - Torque everywhere
    - A dedicated sports car
    - V8 noise
    - The ability to make a car that's not 100% much nicer

    - An interior worse than the Subaru
    - Terrible quality materials inside
    - A car that isn't 100% yet (but will be)
    - Midlife crisis image (kinda embarrassed by it honestly)

When I sold the Subaru I was at the point where it would need a sizable influx of cash and I just no longer cared to do it. I had run my course with it. I wanted something quick with a removable roof. My dream was a 93-99 Supra but even the NA 5MT was going for over 25K. Next in line was a 90-96 300zx TT but finding one that Dominic Torretto, Jr. didn't mangle was impossible which left me with the Vette. It meets all my automotive needs and is quite fun to drive. It stinks as a commuter but what sports car doesn't.

Never had more fun in a vehicle than a ride down to the beach at dusk with the roof off and stereo up.

You hit every nail on the head when you described Subaru. The all wheel drive and the Boxer rumble is irreplaceable though... A friend of mine has a C6 Vette and just had it cammed and headers installed. He said it's aand absolute beast now. Instant power. No turbo lag, like the Subaru (he had one as well). Just push the skinny peddle and go. And, it sounds like pure evil! He said just sitting at a red light, he's had more people stare than ever.

I used to have a Pontiac Vibe back in college. I miss that thing. The cargo room always blew my mind for such a small vehicle. My wife pokes fun at me because I still have a soft spot for Pontiac Vibes lol. I was rear ended at a red light by a drunk dumbass going 50 that totalled it so I don't have mine anymore unfortunately.

Agreed. I never once launched mine, always wish I did.

This past 4th of July I was taking my brother in law for a ride showing it to him and this woman basically almost fell into the car saying we were too young to own one and how much she liked it, etc, etc.
