    Has anyone painted the plastic cover that's sits on top of the engine. I would like to color match mine. But my paint shop doesn't recommend it due to the heat.

    Yes, but you're in the wrong forum. Plastic adhesion promoter, spray paint, then enamel gloss. Lightly sand before starting.

    :confused: I haven't painted mine yet, but I have installed a JBL amp and 3-way speakers in it....

    The heat doesn't bother them, but it is hard to hear over the engine noise.
