Precisely. Wheelers or Timbrens... anything is better than the stock polyurethane rocks Toyota slaps in. Haha.
Have you done the ECGS CV boot clamshell bushing mod yet?

Wheeling plans this weekend, anyone? I know we've got mod-day on Sunday but what about Saturday?

I'm not getting my TOB/clutch work done this Saturday after all so I need to get some dirt on my wheels :mudding:

@MADSTEEZE you still doing that Big Bear run on Saturday?

It replaces the needle bearing with a bushing. The stock needle bearing after lifting and off roading has the tendency to cause vibration and slop to your cv axle. Common problem on lifted Tacomas on the drivers side.

I slapped it in when installing my lift while my truck was torn apart. Figured I'd address the issue before it became a nuisance.

Here's a link to their site with a couple really short videos (be advised the top video is a 2 part video so let it roll into the next video ):

Bailing on big bear. Air quality out here sucks and no campfires allowed. Headed to the Dodger game.

Yeah I was wondering about that with the fire and all. Plus it's kind of a drive for us here in LA with Pismo coming up next weekend. I'll see if Alex is going, if not I'll hit up someplace closer most likely. I need to bust out my California 4x4 trail book and see what I haven't done yet.

Really great book to have. Very detailed. Pics are meh, but the gps coordinates are legit. They err on the side of caution by labeling some (what I consider) trails that are easy as moderate. I understand their reasoning though.

Their pics definitely need some help, lol. One of these days I'm going to compile all the pics I'm getting of us and our trucks on these runs and submit a proposal to do some work with them  Getting paid to wheel and take photos sounds pretty great

Oh snap. Didn't know that, Danny. I know you really enjoyed the company of her dad. Sorry, man. And you're right, I love camping but sometimes the amenities of a cabin or hotel is very nice to have after beating up your body all day in the outdoors.

Word. I figured it would be better at the top of the mountain. Its super bad down where I live at the bottom of the mountain. Nevertheless, no campfires so off to the Dodger game I go.

    Oh.. Gold Mountain for sure!

Apparently, the trail leader has to approve the rigs taking the difficult run. So, granted I want to know I can make it, I also don't feel amazing about someone saying no because of... Well everyone has an opinion. I don't know the guy so gonna be optimistic and assume he's solid.:fingerscrossed:

Word. I agree 100%. Their thing is not wanting rigs breaking on the trail and causing a cluster fuck. Your rig should be fine.
    :fingerscrossed:for ya.
