What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Remounted some 7" lights to the center of my bumper. Love em!!

 

Finished install of tundra brake today and can't get all the air out of the line. Bleed them twice now with a vacuum and still getting air bubble and the pedal is really squishy. Any ideas on what to do?

 

I let mine gravity bleed for 5 mins or so, while making sure I don't run out of fluid in the reservoir. This allows all of the cavities to be filled up. Then I do a two person bleed (one actuates the bleeder, the other mans the pedal), make sure your doing them in the order of farthest from the master to closest. Then take it for a spirited drive, then again two person bleed if it doesn't feel right still. Power bleeders never seem to work for me. Also understand that you changed equipment, it will feel different, you're actuating larger brakes with the same master, things are bound to feel different.

 

Jacked up the truck to install my bumbstops....noticed i have about an inch of play when i move the tirein and outwards....LBJs possibly? Or bad rack?

 

The tire itself moves?? Or the wheel and tire? Does the disc move with it? Is the bottom moving more than the top the reason you suggested the LBJ? Any side to side movement?

Tire and wheel..most the play is from the bottom. Shop said its the rack...but im not seeing any play in the rack or tie rods

 

Bent the hell out of the Tailgate in the process but my supermoto fits.

Haaa! I lived in Asheville for the past three years and just recently moved to dallas. Ive been frantically looking in Eastern Tennessee to buy(NC taxes are baaad! plus I miss the area)...Now Im definitely buying there!

 

Installed two bright as hell CREE LED lights and replaced my old halogen spotlights. Also TRD license plate frame Now to clean up those nasty oxidized headlight lenses

 

I'll have to meet up there sometime. I'd love to hit some trails up that area a long weekend

 

Ha, it's still leaking. I might just need to get a whole new grommet. It's nearly impossible to get a good layer of silicone along the bottom

 

Anytime man I'm always up for a good trail ride

Where can I find the antenna mounting bracket for the back of my truck?
