I have a 2014 dc with a leer camper shell. I got the bags because I was tired of looking at the rear of my truck sagging. What PSI are people running while not towing or hauling ? I could not find much when I did a search. Thanks

while not towing or hauling they are supposed to be minimum of 5 psi... technically you are hauling with the camper shell on so its up to you

I keep mine between 5-10 psi. I love these things. Carried a yard of mulch with no sag.

I kept mine st 5 psi even when towing. I did go to 15 once while towing heavy, but 5 always seemed to work for me.

How is the ride with the bags at 5 psi? At 5psi is there any lift to the truck without a load?

Mine rides harsh with 5 in the bags. And lifts about an inch.
I drain mine when not loaded. From what I have read 5 is the min but I have been doing this for 2 years with no issues.

I'm surprised you get any lift and/or harsh ride with the minimum 5 psi. Checked your tire gauge lately for accuracy?

Running with no air results in a higher risk of tearing the bags if you bottom out the suspension. I'd say you've been lucky so far.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I keep 12 to 15 in mine all the time. Rides just fine. If I tow my wheeler or a boat I'll got to 20. I hauled a bunch of concrete in the bed and a trailer full of junk and set it at 30 once.

Have you measured how much the shell makes it sag? I have a shell and plan on getting air bags too, just haven't gotten around to it. My plan is to start with 5 and keep adding air till the rear is stock height, which in my case will require about 0.5"

We run 12-15 with the cap and it's daily gear. Once loaded with camping gear and the teardrop trailet hooked up we'll run up to 50 to keep the right look to the set up. It rides nice at 12 daily.

I just installed these on mine, cap makes the truck sag 1.5", bags take 15psi to get it back to stock height and leafs off the overloads. Rides great at 15, no more sagging/bottoming out.

I run 10-15 normal driving and 20 to 30 with load, 35 with load and trailer was the most I have run.
    Have camper cover also

10psi with a cap and no extra load works fine for me.

I'm surprised at some of the pressures these guys are running. I got just enough lift with 5psi to get level plus a little bit if rake. Remember, more air equals less flex. You will lift a rear wheel even at 5 psi on some angles, more pressure will be worse.

IMO, a 5psi is an ok ride, more is worse.
