I would like to see Toyota offer a custom build sheet with options already being used just in different configurations; choose cab style and bed length, transmission, trd packages, and separate JBL and moonroof without having to buy the premium tech stuff.

Upgraded 4.0L that is an actual truck engine. Nothing wrong with the T4R's that I've heard about. In a magical dreamland I'd take the 4.6L from the Tundra and shove it in there, but that isn't happening. Or better yet Ford's EcoBoost engine. The 2.7L would probably perform great in a Tacoma. 325 HP, 375 ft/lbs. Sure beats our measly 265.

Sure, that's more of a luxury option, but so is a power sliding window. Yeah our 3.5L still moves at higher RPM but it can't hold 75 on the highway without going into 4th gear...

fwiw, i don't mind the prop rod. its old school and the hood is rarely accessed plus the gas shock replacements are a pain.

    i'd say

    1) height adjust drivers seat

thats my main beef with the taco's of every gen.

Hood struts is one of those things if you've had it, and you're used to it - not having it is strange.

Mine neither .... sometimes it will hold 70mph if no wind ... but really struggles to keep 75mph on the Interstate in DFW area in Texas.

I would like the option to flash the ECM to the LEXUS with the 3.5 liter that has 300+ and/or a Supercharger option or a V8 option.

For the 5-10k price increase I am glad I have what I do in the 16 TRDOR4x4 DCSB, minus JBL, Dual Zone, Sunroof, cross traffic, and auto lights/wipers. With my semi-custom adds minus an auto rear window slide I think I will be more than happy for a few years and surely make my money on resale more than likely vs a 17 resale....For the convenience of the adds I would rethink the price diff, takes all the fun out of doing the mods on your truck with what you want it to be. Its a convenience sale....if you have the money to lay down, nothing taking away from the 17 TRD Pro, its definitely gonna be a nice truck....$$$$ Makes you think about what else is out there no matter how big a fan boy you are of Toyota.....
