Yea I was the first in our little group an thought I could do it easy, which it was, but tapped the pumpkin. If I was about 3 inches to the left more it would have been fine:ballchain:

Meh.. I don't need another insurance premium. That, and I like my bed with topper for dry storage. Expo dclb build ftw.

True. I'm lucky, I live 5 miles from my work, but if I lived further away I would look into getting a commuter. It's amazing how many miles (of smiles) accumulate from daily driving a vehicle.

Kinda want a commuter just so I can fulfill my dream of owning a sportscar/roadster.:D Lol, maybe when I have my own driveway.

The aftermarket warranty those snakes in the finance department sold me on might actually pay for itself, just called and they said my TOB/clutch assembly should be covered :fingerscrossed: waiting on official word from them after they talk to the service department.

I really want to get a commuter as well, I feel bad for my truck. My 2004 Tacoma only got 24k miles put on it over the course of 12 years, then I came along and bought it 5 months ago and have put nearly 7k on it already lol. I really need to get a cheap hybrid or something for going to work in.

I wish It was that easy/cheap for me. Got a bestop on and I'll be keeping some things back in the bed.
I just ordered one of the BAMF CB antenna mounts off ebay ($53) Also purchased a safety flag, 4' firestik, RGB LED light strips, shrink tubing..etc to make a lighted whip...another ($60). Wish I could loose weight as fast as my wallet does

I've seen a stock 1st gen 4Runner on 33s with no lift and no lockers do John Bull. It's do able, just have to know how to finesse that skinny pedal. The only really hard part is the gatekeeper but if you have sliders you'll be fine. Just pick the right line.

I've beat the hell out of my truck all over the damn place up there with sliders and no skids when I was ifs. Just depends on how much you care about your rock sliders haha

Realized my roof rack being delivered tomorrow to be put on this Sunday (mod day) doesn't include the mounting hardware :annoyed:

Just ordered it w/2 day shipping (ouch)...should be good to go by Sunday.

As much as I wanted to keep my battle scars on mine, I rattle canned them for fear of rust :lalala:

My sliders are bolt-on @CBI Offroad Fab and they've held up great so far.

That's right. CBI does great work. The way you mash your slider they're gonna weld themselves on via not ever being able to unbolt them due to all the high impact. Haha

Hey fellas, I haven't posted much on here, but I've hit up rowher with @Sandtaco and I've been "lurking" on here for quite some time as weird as that sounds lol anyways you guys seem to be good people so I was hoping to get your take on my lift kit I plan to purchase really soon. I'm not trying to do anything crazy as its my daily driver, but I would like to go wheelin with you guys more often. So really just want any input/advice as to whether it'll be a good buy for my needs. Thanks!

    Ha! That's a plausible outcome.

Part of me wants to come up with somewhat of a custom slider option. I have ideas in my head, so I need to draw something up.

I have 5100s with OME 881s and the Headstrong Offroad 3 leaf AAL in the rear. It's a solid improvement over stock primarily because you gain clearance, and the ability to hold more weight in the front and rear than the stock springs could handle.

It's definitely no King setup that's for sure, but for the money you can't go wrong with 5100s and OME coils. Like @dtaco06 said, if you wheel regularly you'll want better in the future. I've only had my kit on for a few weeks and I already want to upgrade lol. But really though, that's only because I spend so much time on here drooling over other people's trucks. I have so many other things I need/want to get done to my truck, the 5100s will keep me solid for awhile.
