I can haul long stuff if it's not wider than 2 feet. I can still flip the glass up and close the tailback and swingout. But no plywood for me

that's ok. It dawned on me that to replace my coilover rod ends you need to remove the coils to get the clamp onto the shock shaft. I guess I'll press the old bearings out of the rod ends and if the rod ends are still good then just press the new bearing into it. If rod ends are damaged then might have Mule do it.

 

I actually think of the interference of the swingout as a good thing since you can weld some tabs on the swingout and bumper and put a padlock on it so they can't open the rear hatch of the canopy. Little extra pain in the ass step for thieves to get into your bed.

 

@JDAM How many miles? Are they shitting out early?

 

I never thought of that. That's a positive way of viewing it. I guess if they wanted to break in they would smash a side window anyways.

 

I've also got the wife's truck to haul long stuff so my truck is purely for fun.

 

Good point. that would also make it much more difficult to grab a beer from the cooler tho hahaha

34k and 25k on the Kings. Teflon wore off of the spherical bearings and they just flop around in the rod end right now and squeak.

 

I bought that midland radio first, it certainly works ok with an antena attached. Then I got a Cobra and a Firestik and that was better. I still have the midland radio in my center console so I have a handheld when I get out of the truck though.

 

Did your truck get crunched?

 

You need to think about where to put your spare. If you leave it underneath, there was no point in getting HC

 

Oh yeah, for sure. Thinking about a plywood platform in the front of the canopy with enough room for 2 action packers with tools and spare parts underneath it.

 

For the inner, you just remove the snap ring. Then, from that side you can replace both boots. No?

How bad is it?

 

All dis true. I have noticed my engine seems to run a little smoother tho, like its not struggling for air thru a 2" inlet. More power? Prolly not. Also, yes it's pretty ugly, but I think looks badass. I've had comments about Dr. Seuss and mad max. I got for dust mostly. Can't see why Toyota put the intake in the wheel well which is about the worse possible place! Safari looks better imo, but according to specs, airflow works better. I think about the same.. My trucks getting uglier by the minute, so it's kinda like putting a wart on a wart. Doesn't really matter.

 

This catches my attention. Where in canyon park is the radio shack? I grew up in Bothell but got smart and moved out.

Anybody have any input on these?
