I have a thrush welded muffler on mine. It ends at the muffler. But it sounds like a 4 stroke quad runner to me at 2.5k rpms but at lower revs it's nice but I'm switching to a Flowmaster super 44

Is the vibration there when the truck is in 4 wheel drive? If it goes away when in 4 x 4, then you have a bad bearing in the front differential.

You can go as fast as you want in 4wd. Just engage it under 50mph.

Correct. I run mine often up to 70 during the winter for short durations. It hurts nothing.

Oh dang! I had no idea, I feel like at some point in my life someone told me not to go over like 45 or something. So you think I should put it in 4hi before going in the freeway tomorrow and see if it helps?

I just don't know if I can determine if it's shaking on a dirt road at 65..

As long as you're going in a straight line it shouldn't matter. Slow down to 50, engage 4wd, speed up, test vibration, slow down, disengage.

    Not that difficult...

Who knew I was so clueless , I've never switched it into 4wd when I was moving, I thought it had to be at a complete stop, do I just put it in neutral and push the clutch in?

4 low requires you to be stopped. probably where you got the idea.

You don't have to. Just let off the gas and toss it into 4 high.

I have been in the same boat since I bought my 02. I have bad lower control arm bushings. When I hit some good bumps it clunks. I have heard this can cause vibration at high speeds but not too sure. I also have my drive shaft that needs to be rebalanced. Still getting vibration even though I replaced the front and back u joints and center bearing. And my aftermarket steel rims Wheelers rims were discontinued because of some being way out of balance from new. So I have several things I need to tackle to fix my vibrations. Maybe some of these things are giving you vibrations too.

Ugh.. Gotta love it man, how bad of vibes would you say? One thing I noticed is the boot on my cv is ripped and has been ripped for sometime, it seems like it's functioning and not "clicking" but I have a pretty good clunk when I turn the wheel at stop and I think the cv might be causing it aswell..

No clutch nothing huh? You can be in 4th gear just let your foot off the gas and engage it? That's scary stuff mine I'd expect a huge grind lol
