My ATF level was about a quart low, they topped it off and did the TSB. It's somewhat better, not the difference I was hoping for honestly though. I'm still adjusting from a 5.7 v8 that was crazy over powered to the 3.5 v6 so its just going to feel different.

I'm at 1400 miles on my truck is it most likely still in the learning mode? I'm not sure if the dealer reset anything should I do the manual reset?

I haven't done the TSB yet, but if I do and my truck comes back with that hideous yellow sh!t on it, its coming off immediately when I get home. My '09 had one when I bought it...first mod was to take it off. It was for four pounds. Four pounds...lol...whatever!

does your truck like to rest at 1000rpm once u get up the your driving speed? i was hoping that this new transmission tsb was gonna help out with the gearing and responsiveness. i have not had my fluid checked yet or the tsb yet .... i feel like my truck drives good till it gets to the speed limit/driving speed, then u let off the gas a little bit or completly ,... then the fun stops real quik .... it up shifts like to 6th gear and drives at 1k rpm. so then if I then need a little power i push the gas a bit..... in 5th or 6th gear theres basicaly no response unless u push it harder so it will downshifts.,... then gets going,,, .. but then.... as soon as u let off the gas a little again ...... back to 1k rpm .... driving a 36k truck dogging it at 1000rpm sucks! i wouldnt even mind 1200-1300 rpm resting rpm when im cruising on some flats ....but 1000 is not enough. def not while in 5th or 6th gear. my truck will accually upshift when at 1300rpm to go into 1k mode.

I don't have the TSB, but at 65 MPH on the interstate, mine is turning 1,600-1,700 RPMs in 6th. Mine rarely dips to 1K...even when hot and sitting in traffic.

I noticed the same thing on mine last night. It may have been on there from day 1. Don't think it has anything to do with the re-flash because I certainly have not had it done. My yellow sticker like that reads 11 (eleven) pound reduction in load capacity !

Just got the update this morning. Is there a way to tell other than the "new feel" of the transmission update to make sure they actually did the reflash?

I've had bad experiences with dealerships telling me they did something later to only find out they either didn't do it or half assed it.

Yellow sticker is probly just the deviation from base stock with any different options. I have LBOR with a factory tonneau and my sticker says 27lbs less.

This is how the truck is supposed to drive. That's how you can get 22+mpg. If you prefer power over fuel efficiency you probably bought the wrong truck.

Did your truck have the p to d or cruise control issue? Is it resolved? If yes, move on.

Mine runs about 1,000 -1,200 RPMs at 35-45 mph in city driving. Which is all fine and dandy until you need power to get out of the way since the throttle response is so slow.

I'm going to give the ECT mode a try for a few days and see if it changes my MPG at all.

TSB had no response on my throttle response. I'm sure it fixed all the other issues.

Driving around in ETC mode notably reduced my MPG... Pre-TSB, S mode in gears 4 - 6 was an improvement in drivability (greatly reduced the level of frustration and overall cursing at Toyota) and also improved my mpg over D mode.

So far the TSB is an improvement, but I'm waiting until I get over 1,000 miles on it before finalizing my opinion...

Are you saying the TSB improved your throttle response at say, 0-45 mph?

Try running around town in "S" mode and, if needed, shift it yourself...(I usually leave it in 4th).. I do that all the time and it really fits MY driving style... Instant response, if needed and no lugging of the motor...

Initial impression is that it has - whether that is a placebo effect or resetting the AI learning, IDK. That's why I'm waiting for around 1,000 miles before I make a final determination.

Yes, I realize that the TSB was only done to address the 3 issues listed on the TSB... But my butt-dyno believes it is an improvement...
