Greetings from VT!!

hey tacomaworld!!

Well it only took about 7k miles on my new Taco 2.7l 4x4 regular cab to find my way to this forum!

This is my first real pick up truck, and my first toyota.

I just did my first mod - installed some sweet firestone winterforce tires and they look much better on the truck than the stockers. a bit noisy on the highway and numbed the steering feel alittle bit but i dont mind.

I've been playing around on snowpiles and drifts in empty parking lots to learn how to drive my truck better.

driving on off road terrain or in the snow/mud is so much more difficult than I realized.. i keep finding myself in 4low trying to see how high i can creep up snow banks haha It doesnt seem too hard on the truck either like doing donuts or drifting.. well maybe alittle bit hard on the clutch if im feathering it.

i also have a subaru wrx and an suzuki sv650s motorcycle, they both have a unique and fun character and I think my tacoma fits right in.

I think tomorrow I am going to remove the screen from the airbox as my second mod!! Thats an old trick they used to do on DSM cars (eclipse, eagle talon etc.) they also had that second screen.. anyway, i"m going to go and read some more about my taco.

Anyone else notice a delay when you initially start coasting? it just feels to me like the engine is still getting some fuel for many seconds until i can feel any substantial engine braking effect depending on my rpm and gear. doesnt really bother me just something i noticed

i wanted the left front tire to stay on top of the snow for a cool shot but it kept sinking in the snow was still soft..



i put two 60lbs. tube sand in the back for extra traction



these photos kinda stink but its cold out haha.. on the other side of the snow pile is an unplowed parking lot and on another section i was easily able to push through it and get to the unplowed part and back without problem. I wish the snow was harder so it would let me climb it higher for the picture
