I'm running ST MAXX on my Tacoma and I love them but I'm just curious if you guys would call them an All Terrain that's more aimed towards a mud terrain but not 100%, or if you would just call them an All terrain, and directly comparable to a tire like the Toyo AT2 or BFG ko2. What kind of tire would you classify them as?

I prefer grocery getter for the 4 runner. Ours now run ST MAXX too.

Definitely on the aggressive side for an AT, yet somehow they're so quiet

I still don't have my own set. Ill have them ordered the 15th but I think the quietness has to do with the fact that the tread cuts are at an angle across the center of the tire rather than straight across... Alot of tires have flat edges that hit the pavement first where these just have points and roll along the pavement... I imagine the only really loud noise you get from them is probably in cornering because of the nice aggressive outter treads

I happen to have some experience with that, I had ST Maxx 285/70/17s on my Dodge quad-cab got a bit aggressive cornering some back roads. It kinda flung chunks of asphalt all over.

Last night the Coopers did great! cleared out mud and sand crazy fast. they were aired down to 15psi.. and they could have went lower... hardly any sidewall bulge. but, regardless, they hooked up rather well in the rutted, loose muddy sand. Everytime the run was over, the tires were clean and free of mud or sand.

    5100's all around. Front's set at 1.75" 265/75/16 Duratracs.
What do you guys think about a price of $800 out the door mounted and balanced for 265/75/16? That is what my local tire shop is telling me.

Yea thats not bad. Tread Depot has em for $182 a tire. They usually have some of the lowest prices.

Just got my Maxxs put on, they are definitely pulling to the right. Whats the fix for this? I've already talked to one alignment shop and they are telling me they won't align it out.

I am not certain but I am thinking you need to find a shop that will align the truck and compensate for Road Crown. Most have no clue how to do that anymore because alignments are 100% computer driven. Good luck with that search though. I know one guy in Colorado that can do it.

Thanks for the info. I am going monday to have it aligned, pretty competent shop so hopefully they can handle it. They talked about flipping sides on the fronts but I don't think that would do much.

It shouldn't if they are brand new or near new. Good luck and let us know if it works out.
