My little lift knowledge says Icon would be the better choice of the two.

Yea I agree. I did find this one but the price point makes me a bit skeptical on it.

I think this is your way to go. OME has a great reputation for being an affordable, dependable lift. What are the UCAs?

I won't buy OME again. Now the icon UCAs, that's a different story.

All I can find is Slee UCA's. Never heard of them so obviously don't know the reputation.

The whole "slam down" situation is extremely annoying. Not bad enough that I will replace this one, only because I am looking at replacing the whole truck though. They preform great on road, but off road is a whole different story. The main reason to lift is for offroading, so it defeats the purpose. I am not sure if I ever posted the story in this thread, I will quote it below.

So you're still having an issue out of it? I guess I had assumed it was all fixed after going back to the alignment shop.

Yea...I am so confused how it could have gone away before the alignment and even after the alignment the first time. Then it slipped and its back. It makes me mad as hell that if the guy would have just torqued it all down the first time the problem would be fixed.

Yeah that really confuses me, though I don't completely understand what is happening since I haven't experienced it. Are you attributing all of this to the OME brand though? Is that a common thing for OME, you're the first I've heard to point out this issue...though of course I spend most of my time reading Kings stuff lol

Look into it being your lower control arms, maybe bushing are shot. I never had the probably with either truck. Or take it to a different shop. Next time we are together I will get the go pro and stick it up under there see if we can figure it out.

There are others that have the same problem, I just never found them in the 3 months of research I did somehow. Basically the shock is to short, they have a metal ring on the inside that stops them from over extending and blowing out. The coils push the shock down so fast on down travel that this is "slamming" inside the shock.

Sweet, sounds good to me! It doesn't happen on all trucks.
