understood, I'm just going to test fit with the 17*9 4.25 and see how it goes. I would hope that if those cleared the 17*8 4.25 would as well

You looking to run the same size tire as you do now? You'll definitely want to keep your spacers on with that back spacing.

I dont have spacers and its .25 less BS but 1/2" more wheel width.

Not sure how it will go. Im hoping that I can squirt some unicorn jizz on it and everything fits and no scrubbing

Doesnt have to be a thick spacer, mines 3/8ths, but it does need it. THe BS doesnt mater, its the center of the when that hits.

Spacers aren't a big deal, as long as you torque them to spec and check it at each tire rotation you'll be fine. And get name brand ones..
Remember that LC on 40's you posted who is my friend? He's running 3" (yes 3") spacers and wheeled that thing hard. Not a single problem so far

Yes. The rim diameter doesnt matter, thats not whats rubbing. The inside of the wheels about 2" from the lugs is rubbing the face of the calliper.

The spacers I run arent like spydertrax and stuff like that. These dont have lugs, they arent thick enough for that. THey just sit between the wheel and the rotor. I wish I had a picture but I dont

Yea, i already bought spacers once and sold them. I just dont want to deal with them.

I fully understand that they are used in lots of offroad rigs. Just not mine.

Its no big deal to keep these wheels and cut some aluminum rock rings and fire up the TIG. Brandon likes using the TIG anyways.
