My thoughts too about the longer bushings and getting them out.

For the people whose vibes were gone....,

Which vibration were solved in your case? Driveline vibes at 20-50 mph or the shudder vibes at take off?

    Thanks!

Do they make a bearing for passenger side? Sounds like it's just driver side that's problematic? Replaced my passenger side cv axle and seals this past week, should I have got a new needle bearing as well?? I'm lifted ultimate kit no vibes. Lucky?? And is it just as easy as pulling out cv then bearing with a puller and replace?

    Hi Fellas. First Post here.
Regarding Bronze bearing wear questions I know for sure that many muscle cars had a bronze bearing pressed into the rear of the crankshaft.
The nose on the input shaft for the manual transmission rode in this bushing. imagine how much this bearing spun while clutch was disengaged at a stoplight etc. Lube was a spot of grease on initial assembly and after replacing the clutch plates. Replacing this bronze bushing was not required very often.
Don't think the ECGS bushing will have many problems if installed properly as it will get a regular lube from gear oil thrashing around.
    Just my two cents.

I just wish Toyota would change the design and use a bronze bushing but then again ECGS may have a patent.

Are these bushings for both sides on 07? Sounds like the driver side is the problem side?

If IIRC, ECGS approached and tried to negotiate with Toyota, but the negotiations failed.

Just drivers side. Forces applied on passenger side are completely different so it isn't an issue.

30000 on mine with a trip across Northern Ontario. No problems to report but I did notice that my seal on the passenger side front diff was leaking. I could never get the driveshaft rumble to go away in 2007 with the add a leaf.

My ECGS bushing wore out already. Installed the bushing in March of 2015 and only went on a few trips with it installed. After the install the CV was super snug with no play. After a death valley trip this Feb I noticed the Driver side CV was super wobbly again. Took the bushing out and it looks pretty worn out.
    image.jpg image.jpg

The original tool didnt fit to pull the bushing out so I rented the below tool with a slide hammer to pull it out.

Whoa!! This has got to be a first. As previously reported, mine was snug too on installation and then started to develop some free play and is the reason I started monitoring it with a dial gauge. But it did stabilize after a few thousand or so and I saw no additional play accumulate so I gave up monitoring. You should know that tiny amounts of play between the bushing and race of the CV translate to much larger amounts near the tulip. Frankly I don't know whether that looks bad or not. Are you going to send it to Chase for his analyses? Also, maybe qnyla can chime in as he examined his after a bunch of miles to get his comments on comparison with how his looked?
