    I wanted to take my wife and daughter out away from the city and watch it for a while tonight but my daughter just started 1st grade this week and I don't want to keep her up late on a school night. Supposed to be pretty spectacular though. We'll go out on the patio tonight but we have a lot of light noise from the city so probably won't be able to see much.

    I say that because my buddy at work is currently and actively looking to buy a GTI.. MK6.. actually. He's currently trying to get out of his S5 that has been nothing but problems since he owned it.. we have all been telling him that since day 1... he finally believes..

    He's aware of some known issues that the MK6 has.. and knows what to ask and look for. Water pump, direct injection carbon build up, and clutch replacements at 80K.

    anything you or anyone else can think of or any tips? My highschool buddy still has a GTI.. MK4.. and its awesome. no big problems that i know of.
