Is it a good idea to install 5100's in the front with blocks in the rear? just to level and lift about an inch overall? or should i get a leaf pack?

Do an AAL. Its a cheaper way of lift opposed to a full leaf pack.

Short blocks should be ok on the rear if you want to bump up a bit. I wouldn't use blocks much over 1" though.

The only thing about blocks is that they just provide lift, where an AAL is actually functional. AAL's are not too bad price wise, and you have to take it all apart to install blocks anyways, so why not do the AAL.

i bought the "cheap" lift before i really read anything about it, decided to ditch the front spacer lift for 5100s, but didnt kno if i should keep the blocks, is there much a different between blocks and aal? in the ride i mean

Down south motorsports i know have the 5100's. And you can get the AAL from Toytec.

Yes, added leafs or spring packs that provide lift will stiffen the ride a bit. In most cases stiffening the rear suspension on a Tacoma is not a bad idea since OEM leafs are known to be weak straight from the factory. Putting 5100s on the rear will also help ride quality regardless of which way you go with the springs.
