Video of Rear Slider Window

I'm just shit posting...1/2 hr to quitting time and I'm so out of steam.

 

I took it as a joke. I just always like to call Smitty out. He seems to leave a thread when I appear and go gripe about his truck in another thread.

 

I use mine every day it's not raining. Open front two windows and the rear, perfect airlow thru the cab. I also have a tonneau cover so that probably helps

 

It's a nice to have, I'll wait to see how much the retro kit suppliers want to gouge for the setup....would be nice if it came with the switch, wiring harness, motor and other components complete for something in the $399 range....that would be viable.

Really component wise it's not worth much more than that.

 

Can you make a window that isn't power sliding have a power sliding switch?

 

I just wish it opened like the Tundra's. Or the older 4 runners(I don't know if the new ones do it). The entire back window slides down, completely disappearing.

 

Is it all or nothing? Or can you open it halfway?

 

Hey at least they tried.... the washed out grey look from 95 was terrible... this is marginally better....

 

I laugh when I see blind spot monitoring systems on small cars like Accents , fiestas and the like....

 

I don't care for the sliding glass rear window, I've had mine open once, trim from Home Depot, never opened again. If wind is an issue, I open rear windows half way, same effect.

 

I open mine quite often, hauling stuff/driving through tunnels.

I was lucky enough to get a kit from @BenWA years ago. I think someone else made a different kit but I'm not sure.

 

I love the sliding rear window. Make it so much easier to yell at Mexies to got off the truck and scatter when I see border patrols.

 

All 4runners have it.

 

I know 4.3 reasons why they should have changed something other than the rear sliding glass window.

 

Side track. Did I see that the Pro doesn't come with JBL?

 

To add to James_Bond's question, is the TRD cat back exhaust on the PRO actually functional in terms of providing extra HP and stuff or is it just an expensive sound modifier?

My wife's 2012 4Runner does it and so did my old 2006 Tundra DC.

 

It's nice but definitely not worth the $600 price increase from the 16's. It's unbelievable that a base dclb Trd sport is priced at 37k

 

i use to want a tundra just for the rear power sliding window. i dont know why all trucks don't have this option.
