2017 preliminary budget: $1k worked out to be a pretty good budget overall if I remember correctly.
    Budget:

    ~4000 miles round trip (overestimate)
    @ 16mpg average
    = 250 gallons
    @ $2.50 average/gal
= $625 gas just for trip.

    Hotel (8 nights) = ~120$/night = $960
(this is if we stay in a hotel every single night)

Gas at MOAB = ?? let's just say another $200?

    Food: Average 30$/day (10$/meal) for 9 days = $270

so total there is about $2,055? ~$1,000 if camping. estimates obviously...

The only dates I know I can't be gone is April 20-22, sisters wedding.

That's a good question. Maybe someone who has been there before on TW will chime in

Getting the dates picked will be the hardest part. Everybody's schedule is so different, and trying to avoid it mid summer when its so hot. Going in the fall would be the best for me but I know y'all are thinking more spring time.

found these. I'm sure any of the rock therapy thread are full of information. Most of the first timers are about where I am with their trucks. Like I said some skids and a compressor and I think I can handle it. Need to find all the legalities I know a lot of the parks and national parks require passes.

Another idea is maybe getting a few guys that live close to Moab involved and showing us the ropes when dates get set.

So I've been thinking that I should find a off-road shop and on our way there or somewhere in Utah. Have them make my skids and sliders and have them waiting on me. Then I can just pull in, install and hit the road again.

I could and probably will. But picking them up would save on shipping.
