We ALMOST ended up living in Florida when I was a youngin'. A business associate of my dad wanted him to move down there and help develop property on "an island" they had just bought most of. It was just raw, undeveloped real estate at the time. This was 1957. Dad decided he didn't like the weather and didn't like the schools back then, so we stayed in Indiana.

It was Marco Island. He probably would have been a bazillionaire if he'd gone for the offer.

my entire yard is crabgrass. I have the worst soil x1000 at my current house than I have ever had any place else. That crap even germinated in 3 days in a bed I doused with roundup.

Well, I guess I underestimated this crew. Closer to 3 dozen pages of nonsense. Way to go people!
(took me all morning to catch up!)

To those suffering pain, I commiserate with you. Before my back surgery, I didn't understand how cronic pain can ruin your life. May you feel better.

We were supposed to stay at camp until tonight or Saturday morning. But rain Wednesday night made Thursday an experience in the outdoor steambath. Yesterday was thunderstorms all afternoon, so we packed up and headed out before they hit. Glad we did, as today is a regular sauna out there. No fun with it so hot you sweat just sitting. But, six days in the woods helps me reset my internal anger meter, so as to function back in the corporate world.

Good Morning everyone and Happy TGIF !!

talked with the shop doing the updates on my Camaro and should be done today or tomorrow . Been trying to decide on painting the cage or just leaving it unpainted . I think keeping it unpainted and keeping it clean with a Scotch brite pad and wiping it down with WD40 will look awesome . I think this way tech can look at the welds better and easier to view for deformities

Well it looks like Saturday now is when I'll get my Camaro back . Just called the shop and he said he's finishing it up but won't be until until maybe 6pm or later . So we both agreed for me to pick it up tomorrow at 9 am

Looks like I won't be able to get my Camaro ready then for the local monthly car show , oh well there is always next month !!

OMG Kim Rhode did it! The first person to get 6 individual medals in 6 Olympics. And I got to see it on TV holy cow!! She went into the Bronze shootoffs with another American and a Chinese lady. Her teammate dropped a bird early and the 2 of them went into a double shootoff shooting doubles. The Chinese woman and her were the highest score qualifiers but both ended up in the bronze shoot out. I agree with the announcer it was one of the best demonstrations of shooting and the best shoot off in history ever. My butt is usually so puckered the few times I have made a shootoff I am out very early. Heck I was puckered just watching her shoot LOL. She has struggled with health issues and complications from a pregnancy a few years ago but overcame them and still has what it takes. Way to go Kim!!
