Yeah I was hoping/waiting for someone to put a mod together that allowed that scoop to be used properly!

 

Back when I was in my teens in 60's and 70's we used brake fluid to shine the tires worked great and never hurt the tires.

 

Which kit is that from HeadStrong?

 

I did this back in 07 or so. Had to make it do something ....still not used properly

 

Yeah I cleaned that crap off before we left the dealer. I hate any thing that makes tires shine.

Ride is nice and smooth. Soaks up the white rock roads near my house like a sponge. Steering is tight and responsive. Brakes are about the same as my third gen.

When I was younger tires were used as tires, not for beauty and show! When we wanted to wash them we used what used to be called soap and water and a brush! Then add the dirt for the tough look!

Any way, still love my white lettering to this date!

 

Any chance you could post some pics of how you mounted that light?

 

Getting some warranty work done to take care of a loud ticking noise coming from the engine bay. Looks like it's coming from a vacuum pump towards the back of the head.

 

I live on dirt and limerock roads. Grew up on these roads. I have tried Loads of products to clean rims and tires. 3-25 dollar bottles that weren't worth crap.

Nothing works good enough when you're on dirt a lot. The silicon based cleaners are sticky and make things worse imo.

When i lived in Texas for a few years and stayed on pavement most the time it wasn't a big deal, hell I'd use whatever was on sale at the time with decent results... Back home on this limerock is a different story.

Regular dirt, mud, and gravel don't have shit on limerock. I think it has natural adhesion properties or some crap LOL
