ah, I've not kept up. Ian sold his about 5-6 years ago, and the friendly guy running the local hobie franchise sold the biz and moved away, too. I think those injection molded hulls were a French companies design, or something.

I'd imagine the hulls are made in the same plant that molds their kayaks. it's a great boat. definitely lives up the the hobie speed reputation. just a tab more tame/stable than the older fiberglass bad boys we used to race, like what your son had.

    Some really cool shit
This is the boat I learned to sail on

Pacific Catamaran. Built in Newport Beach, CA in the late 60's and 70's. Kick ass boat. Solid wing construction. Daggerboards. Rigged with a spinnaker, as well.

I think he's a hound/border collie mix with maybe some pointer in there (shelter dog so you never really know)

Mine and @minigrowl look pretty similar. mini's ticks are more pronounced whereas my guys only really show when wet, plus the border in him is why he's so furry.

Ours is a shelter dog too @pittim and we were told she was a blue tick hound and pointer mix. We've found her behavior to match the description, she's always nose to ground following trails with complete focus. The woods is her home, she actually took off on us sniffing a trail last weekend in Hoosier National Forest while we were trying some off leash obedience training. Occasionally she will pause, point her tail and lift a paw but not very often. She loves to chase squirrels up trees too.

once you breed a couple generations of mutts, you end up with 'dog, generic' :)

this was one of our 'dog, generic', aka Rex.... total nutzoid over tennis balls, but he wanted to play keep-away. also a little too aggressive around strangers, which made him a little sketchy at times.
    IMG_1923[1].jpg

another one, Blake, he liked digging for gophers.

We wanted to adopt our GSD but a family north of us spoke up before us so she went up to them. Three days later she was back and we got the call. No matter how it goes, I'm hoping that you find a kick ass fur buddy soon.
