I'm kind of pissed at myself right now knowing there was a chance. Hopefully I can get the alignment shop to take care of it.

What shop is that, @Gramps? I'll be needing an alignment for my Maxxs in a week or so. Thanks!

Ok so I spoke with a nice lady with Cooper and she told me to drop the tires down to at least 29PSI. She said this is a common issue and it's all about the PSI. She advised a chalk test which I will do this afternoon and drop the PSI also. I hope that works out. I still think I will get an alignment just to make sure everything is in check. Just wanted to pass along the info. She said something about the tread or sidewall being 3 ply. I know they are 10 ply. The 3 ply thing is why they pull.

Side note, Coopers customer service was great on this call. The tech was very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to admit to the pulling issue and give me quick ideas on how to fix it.

I will report back with my findings.

below is a copy/paste quote from the ST Maxx thread that I started on Expedition Portal a few years back ( Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx ). Redline is a tire aficionado and knows his stuff. You can read the entire thread if you like, but talk to your alignment shop about cross caster and see what they say.

Interesting. I have to dial in some more caster on my spc arms anyway. I'll try a degree extra on the right and see what what happens

/Well I just ran a chalk test and I'm at 29PSI for 265/75/16. Haven't had a chance to take it down the highway yet but will report back with my finds once I am able to.

It'll roll, but you'll never be able to turn over bumps without rubbing

I can confirm the 58 lbs weight of ST Maxx 255/85R16.
I weighed it at work on a pretty accurate scale.

Well air pressure didn't help any, pulls hard to the right. We will see what an alignment does Monday
